| Bio: | I've had almost exactly the same user info since I got my journal two and a half years ago, so it might be time for an update. First off - I'm a geek. I'm a few different flavors of geek, though - engineer, space nerd, history buff, and a massive scifi and fantasy fan. Toss in a bit of computer geek, since I'm a Linux user (Ubuntu and Slackware-Dropline), and you get lots of geekiness. I don't post all that often - every few days to a week, normally - but I love reading other people's journals. I also post a lot friendslocked, mostly when I'm talking about RL stuff (I talk about my work a lot, doing vehicle parachute testing), but if you friend me I'll most likely friend you back. I'm in the process of writing a Stargate Atlantis AU with ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} featherjean called The Blessing. It's Sheppard/Weir, and the stories so far can be found at blessing_jsew. Since neither of us have a lot of time to write, we're still in Season 1, but we're making slow progress.I love books and read compulsively, so if you ever want book recs, I can suggest scads. A few of my current favorites are Jim Butcher's Dresden Files, Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Underworld, and just about anything Mercedes Lackey has ever written. For scifi, Lois McMaster Bujold's Miles Vorkosigan Adventures are fantastic, and I love most things written by Nora Roberts/JD Robb. (Same author, different names - the first are romantic suspense, the second are scifi romantic suspense. All excellent, though.) I think that sums me up well enough for now, at least. | |||||
